Garry Hersey

Garry Hersey was a three-sport standout for Stadium High School and College of Puget Sound. Born Nov. 22, 1929, he graduated from Stadium in 1947 and CPS in 1951.

Hersey played second base, third base and shortstop on the baseball diamond, quarterback on the football field and guard on the basketball court. He was a member of the Stadium state championship football and baseball teams in 1946 and was named all-city at quarterback in 1945.

At CPS, Hersey was a four-year letter winner in both basketball and baseball. He went on to play middle infield for City League and Valley League teams, including Sportsmen's Club, Busch's Drive-In, 26th Proctor, Midland and Wood Realty. He worked for Superior Linen Service as a Corporate Officer.
