Otto Smith

 

Born December 4, 1912 in Absarokee, Montana. He graduated from Broadway High School in Seattle in 1932 and from the College of Puget Sound in 1937. He pitched all three years in high school and for four seasons in college. He pitched briefly for the Tacoma Tigers of the WIL in 1947 and played extensively in semi-pro leagues in the Puget Sound area. He was the head baseball coach at Everett High School for 10 years and also coached basketball. He also coached the Baltimore Orioles minor league affiliate team in Everett for several years. He was an All-Star selection in basketball at C.P.S. and was captain in both his junior and senior years.
