Dave Hall

Born May 12, 1937 and passed away on March 15, 1982. Dave was the last senior to letter in four sports at Fife High School upon graduation in 1955. He was also selected as Fife's Athlete of the Year in 1955, an award two of his three children would also receive.

He pitched eight no-hit, no run games while in high school, including one 12-inning contest against White River where he struck out 26 batters. Upon the encouragement of high school coach Bud Hatley, Hall turned down a scholarship to UCLA and signed a contract with the Chicago Cubs organization.

Assigned to Ponca City in the Sooner State League he finished with a 15-11 in his first full season with the club. As a pitcher, his starting pay was $160 per month. Arm trouble forced him into early retirement two seasons later. He taught and coached in the Fife school district for 21 years.
