Glenn Huffman

another Pacific Lutheran sports star who came from Tacoma's Lincoln High. Moose started in all-three sports (football, basketball and baseball) all three years at PLC and recently was inducted into the Lute Athletic Hall of Fame. He was the leading hitter on the Pacific Lutheran Evergreen Conference championship team of 1953. In high school he was All-City in all three sports and was selected to play in the All-State Baseball Game as a senior. There weren't too many positions Huffman couldn't play in baseball but he was a first baseman and outfielder and he even caught and pitched. In Valley and City League play he was a top performer for the Busch's Drive-In teams which won Valley and Sunset titles in the early 1950s. Coach Marv Harshman considered him one of the very best all-around athletes in school history at PLC.
