Carl "Kak" Wasmund

Born June 22, 1908 in Alderton, WA, and graduated from Lincoln HS in 1928 and Cheney Normal in 1934. Earned 10 varsity letters in high school and college. Played two years for the McKinley Hill baseball team on Sundays until they got run out of Rochester for horsing around. Was Puyallup High School's first baseball coach. Also coached basketball and football as well. Three of his former players that went on to have standout baseball careers included Chuck Smith, Jim Neeley, and Tony Banasak.
