Dan Oliver

Born September 20, 1947 in Tacoma, WA and graduated from White Pass HS in 1965 and Central Washington University in 1975. Played fastpitch from 1970-83 for Puget Sound Bank, Manke & Sons, B & I Sports, and Colonial Cedars. Finished with a lifetime batting average of .323 and was selected to 45 all-tournament teams. From 1984-94 he coached B&I Sports and the Cheney Stud's men's fastpitch teams during which his teams won 9 out of 10 league championships and finished in the top 10 nationally seven out of nine years. His coaching record was 462-157. He started the girls' fastpitch program at Gig Harbor High School in 1995 and the Tides have made five straight appearances in the state tournament under his guidance.
